Family sculpture workshops at the V&A museum

    08/05/2023

I will be teaching a day of family sculpture workshops at the V&A Victoria and Albert Museum on Saturday 3rd June

They are essentially for kids aged 5-13 and in connection with their current Donatello exhibition (the renaissance sculptor – not the fashion designer 😊)

Booking and more info is here on the V&A website

  • Drawing as a record of time

Drawing as a record of time

    07/06/2021

As an exercise, all #studies of Patrick for this session are layered on top of each other on a single sheet. They are drawn in compressed charcoal, chalk and sepia on A1 paper prepped with a green acrylic wash.

Poses ranged between 5 and 45 mins.

I really like the idea of a single drawing being a diary of the session – making marks on the page to build up record of time spent looking
