I am delighted to tell you all that my drawing “Standing Man” has been selected from over 1,000 entries to appear in the New English Art Club’s annual exhibition alongside paintings by some of Britain’s leading figurative artists. The exhibition is held at the Mall Galleries near Trafalgar Square between 18 and 27 June 2015.

A series of intensely brightly coloured, simple square, grid-based compositions I created in the 1990s. Although framed and presented as paintings, this series was created using steam-fixed dyes and resist on silk. I was playing around with building up subtle layers of very transparent colour.
